The initial excitement of Wednesday has still not worn off and Taylor and I are eager to begin our next huge step of purchasing the computers for the students! As we begin to look into the details of this process we have realized that there a few hidden costs that we haven't initially accounted for in our budget for this project. We are now buying our computers in the US because they will be a better quality but unfortunately this raises the cost slightly. There are also additional costs such as shipping and routers. This being said, we have decided to start a second wave of fundraising of $2,500 to cover our hidden costs so that me may equipe the schools and students to the best of our ability.
We have added a DONATE tab on the right-hand corner of our blog which allows you to donate online through paypal!
We can't wait to see what this next step brings!!

WE MADE IT!!!!
We can't keep the news in any longer: WE ARE GOING TO GHANA WITH 30 COMPUTERS!!!!!!!
As of 8:25 this morning, we raised a total of $23,000! Taylor and I are overwhelmed with feeling of shock and awe over what God has done! In a span of 3 days God brought in $9,000!!!
We hear about the power of God in church, we read it in the Bible, and we sing a couple songs about it. But to be honest, I don't know if I ever truely grasped what that means until now.
We just want to walk you through a quick timeline of what God has done:
October: I called Enoch telling him I was interested in serving with Ghana Christian Mission over the summer and asked him what I could do. He said they have wanting to start a Computer Literacy Program and without really knowing what I was getting into I said yes.
November 5th: Taylor Bainter joined my team and became an invaluable teammate!
Novemeber 29th: Applied for the Moellership grant
January 10th: I found out that I didn't get the grant for $5000
January 11th: We received $8,000 in pledged money for our trip
March 3rd: We had $11,000 left to raise and we set our deadline for March 31st
March 18th: We had 15 days to raise $9,000
March 20th: We raised half of the $9,000
March 21st: We raised $23,000!!!!!
In a span of 3 months, we raised $23,000. We could not have done this without God and we give Him all the honor and glory! But we also want to thank you, God has used you to enable this project to actually become a reality and we care truely grateful!
"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Phil 1:6

MARCH MADNESS CONTINUES!
-Romans 8:31
This verse is a perfect description of our last few days. It has only been two days since our last post, when we were so excited to only have $9,000 dollars left to raise. This $9,ooo was an exciting but scary number at the same time, knowing that we only had two weeks to finish off our fundraising.
In the span of two days God has provided us with half of what was left to raise. This is an amazing testimony of the God we serve. If you look to the upper left corner of the blog you can see that we are officially $4,500 dollars out from our final goal.
WOW!
To add to these eventful past few days, we have officially sent in our visa requests. This is a huge check off our to do list. It finally feels like everything is really coming together!
Hope this encourages you, and thanks for your continued support and prayers!

MARCH MADNESS!!!
ONLY 58 DAYS TO GO!
Abby and I have started the official count down until we board a plane for Ghana! We are extremely excited for the nearing adventure, but to be honest are also quite nervous. We still have many loose ends to tie up before our embarquement for the African continent. With things like visas and curriculum to still complete we could use as many prayers as possible.
Out of the $23,000 we need to raise for this project, we have officially reached $14,000 in pledged donations. This is beyond comprehension for the both of us, yet still scary that we have $9,000 left to raise in the next few weeks.
Our goal is to raise this last bit in the next two weeks, this is our version of MARCH MADNESS!
